The late Seve Ballesteros's son Javier is set to make his European Tour debut in next year's Majorca Open.
Javier, 21, will take a break from his law studies to play in the event in May as an amateur, it was reported in Marca newspaper. "I have an invitation to play next May in the Majorca Open and I will play, for sure,'' one-handicapper Javier said.
"Then when I've finished my law degree I would like to give it a shot and turn pro.
Lahiri tied 23rd
Yeoju, Korea: Anirban Lahiri was the only Indians in the field to return with a sub-par round on the opening day of the inaugural CJ Invitational here on Thursday. Lahiri shot 71 and was tied 23rd, while compatriots Himmat Rai and Sujjan Singh scored 77 each and will need low second rounds to make the cut. They were tied for 91st place.
Arjun, Isabella in lead
New Delhi: Arjun Singh took the lead in Category 'A' Boys in Round I of the second leg of the 1st 'Hank Haney International Junior Golf Tour' Asian Circuit, Indian qualifiers at the Jaypee Greens on Thursday. The 17-year-old Delhi lad finished with three-under-par 69. In the girls' section, Isabella Rahm of Sweden led with a nine-over-par 81.
