Cavalry-USPA took the spoils in the Indian Polo Championship final on Sunday, beating Jindal Carysil 7-5 in a hotly-contested match in front of a packed Jaipur Polo Ground.

The lead swung many times with Cavalry scoring two uncontested goals in the first chukkar before Jindal Carysil equalized with two goals in quick succession through Dhruvpal Godara and Vishal Singh.

The two teams were equally matched till the sixth chukkar when Cavalry took the game away by scoring twice to win.

Samir Suhag, who had a fantastic game, scored off a penalty two minutes into the chukkar while the final goal was scored by Cavalry's No. 1, Major Vishal Chauhan, with a skillful open backhander strike.

A last second penalty for Jindal flew wide and Cavalry took their lap of honour.
