India's promising archer Deepika Kumari and men's recurve team sailed into the finals of the World Cup Stage 2 competition in Antalya, Turkey. On Friday, Deepika defeated Chinese Taipei's Lin Chia-En 6-1 in the semifinals in the individual recruve event and will play Korea's Lee Sung Jin in the summit clash tomorrow.

The men's recurve team, comprising Rahul Banerjee, Jayanta Talukdar and Tarundeep Rai defeated Korea 225-224 points in the semifinals. They will play Great Britain in the final tomorrow.

India start strongly in junior men Asia Cup
New Delhi: India began their campaign in the seventh junior men Asia Cup hockey tournament played at Malacca (Malaysia) on a sound note. The two times defending champions outplayed Sri Lanka 11-0 in their opening match to send a warning signal to the rival teams in the competition that got underway on Friday. The goal glut began in the opening minutes, and thereafter, Indian team didn't look back. India was leading 6-0 at the break. India will play Pakistan in their next match on Sunday.
