The Dynamic Duo of Devendra Joshi and Ashok Shandilya defeated the in-form Towering Titans in a Group 'B' tie to keep their hopes alive in the inaugural Yasin Merchant Classic Invitation Snooker Doubles tournament here on Monday.
Joshi looked in good nick and got off to a dream start firing a break of 42 in the opening frame before adding 48 in the second and a 56 in the fifth.
Their opponents Geet Sethi and Aditya Mehta had to settle for just one point.
"This win has brought us back into contention as we were up against tough opponents where Geet played a steady and safe game," Joshi said.
However, the Towering Titans made amends as they tied against Sharp Shooters Shravan Mohta and Brijesh Damani in another Group 'B' match fetching three points.
Indian Lions continued their good show and posted their fourth win in as many ties as they crushed Cool Cats Lucky Vatnani and Amit Saboo to earn six points in a Group 'A' match.
