Fourteen-year-old Jehan Daruvala was officially awarded the trophy for winning the CIK FIA Asia Pacific KF3 Championship at Macau last October during an awards ceremony in Paris. The ceremony was attended by senior FIA officials including its president and former Ferrari Formula 1 team principal Jean Todt.

Second F-Renault season for engineer

new delhi: Seventeen-year-old Shahaan Engineer will return to the Formula Renault 2.0 North European Championship in which he made his motor racing debut last year. Engineer will remain with the Fortec team with which he scored a pole position and two podium positions en route to finishing seventh out of 48 drivers.

Campaign against olympic association

mumbai: Launching a non-cooperation movement against the office-bearers of the suspended Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Clean Sports India (CSI) on Monday appealed to all sportspersons to not cooperate with the body and its officials.

It also unveiled a plan to undertake non-cooperation events against the IOA to build public opinion.

“Lalit Bhanot, of the newly-elected IOA, sought the bio-data and photographs of all Arjuna and other awardees. The move is a step to legitimise the IOA. As many as 20 Arjuna Awardees have refused,” said Reeth Abraham, former international athlete and joint convener of CSI. A total of 21 former athletes have signed the letter.

Court restrains ddca officials

new delhi: A civil court has restrained Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA)'s four joint secretaries and two directors from discharging duties. The move comes after Rajnish Agarwal, disallowed from casting his 99 proxies during Dec 21 elections, challenged it in the court.
