Formula 1 team Force India ended their 2014 season in sixth position in the Constructors' Championship as drivers Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg brought home 28 points from the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which offered a double points finish in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
Hukenberg and Perez battled through the field at the Yas Marina Circuit to bring their cars home in sixth and seventh positions to respectively earn 16 and 12 points in the 55-lap race.
Starting 12th, German driver Hulkenberg did well to finish sixth ahead of Mexican teammate Perez, who had started 11th.
Overall in the drivers' standings, which was won by Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, Hulkenberg ended ninth with 96 points while Perez finished 10th with 59 points. However, Perez earned the team's second-ever podium finish when he came home third at the Bahrain Grand Prix in April.
The only other podium finish for the Silverstone-based team came at the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix when Giancarlo Fisichella finished second.
In the constructors' standings, Force India once again equalled their best performance, which is sixth. They had finished sixth in 2011 and in 2013 as well.
