Harpreet wins 64 km race in cyclothon

Harpreet Singh from Centre of Excellence, Patiala, emerged winner in 64-km elite race of the 'Hero Cycles India Cyclothon' held on Sunday in the Capital.

He topped the table with 20 points and was awarded R 1.25 lakh while Rajasthan's Rajender Bishnoi came in second, followed by Delhi's Arvind Pawar.

Chopra on tied 13th
Chattanooga, USA: Daniel Chopra landed two eagles en route to a superb seven-under 65 in the third round and it lifted him to tied 13th place, up from overnight 50th spot at the Children's Hospital Classic.
He birdied first and fourth and eagled the par-5 sixth and had another birdie on eighth to turn in five-under.

Atwal, woods on T38
San Martin, USA: Arjun Atwal had struck a purple patch midway through the third round as he carded a three-under 68 to be tied 38th alongside Tiger Woods at the Frys.com Open golf tournament here. What it also got Atwal was a final round pairing with Woods (68) as the two are together at four-under 209.

Anand draws
Bilbao, Spain: World Champion Viswanathan Anand played his fourth draw on the trot, sharing the point with tournament leader Vassily Ivanchuk of Ukraine to slip to the fourth spot after the eighth round of the fourth Final Masters chess tournament.
