‘Living a dream’

Nominated as the country's flag-bearer for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on Sunday, Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra says the honour is a dream-come true.
"To represent the country in the Commonwealth Games and other big events like this is a dream but to be chosen as the flag-bearer and to lead the contingent is like a dream-come true," Bindra told HT.
For the ace shooter, it has been a long journey from being the youngest member (at 15 years) of the Games contingent in 1998 at Kuala Lumpur to becoming the flag-bearer at the Delhi Games. "I have achieved a lot in between and have put in a lot of hard work and sweat towards my success. It has been a long journey with many up and downs, but nonetheless, it
will be a moment to cherish for the rest of my life. I have no words to describe my feelings," he said on the eve of the opening ceremony.
