Mumbai's Rahil Noorani clinched pole position in the Polo R Cup Round 2 qualifying session on Saturday, outpacing Bangalore's Ajay Kini by just over five hundredths of a second. Pune driver Oshan Kothadiya rounded out the top three.
Round 1 winner Vishnu Prasad had a disappointing outing and will start Sunday's Race 1 ninth on the grid. Mihir Dharkar, who finished second in the both the Round 1 races will start on the seventh spot.Noorani clocked a time of 1.16:439 to claim pole ahead of Kini, who used knowledge of local conditions to good effect.
Alisha Abdullah, who became the first female driver to earn a podium finish in Round 1, will start tenth on the grid.
