Saina Nehwal has returned to training under her mentor, P Gopi Chand, after a gap of two months and insists that all is well between them now. "Yes, I have resumed training with Gopi sir…he has coached me for almost six years," Saina told HT from Hyderabad.

In April, Saina had started training under Bhaskar Babu, who is a coach at the Gopi Chand-run academy in Hyderabad.

The reason given out was Gopi Chand needed time to focus on the junior players in his academy. "Not that there were any problems with Bhaskar sir, but I am set in my ways while training under Gopi sir for so many years," said the world No. 4.

Gopi Chand confirmed the development and said he would be travelling with Saina for the three tournaments she'll play in June. Saina is the top seed in the Thailand Open, which starts next week, while she will be defending her crown in the Indonesia Open and Singapore Open Super Series later this month.
