Singapore pair win gold in men's 50m air rifle

Singapore won the Commonwealth Games gold medal in the men's 50m Pistol Pair event in New Delhi today.

Singapore won the Commonwealth Games gold medal in the men's 50m Pistol Pair event in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Swee Hon Lim and Bin Gai had a total of 1094 shots to clinch the gold medal.

Hosts India had to settle for a silver medal with Omkar Singh and Deepak Sharma returning a total of 1087 points.

Trinidad and Tobago took the bronze medal with Roger Peter Daniel and Rhodney Richard Allen shooting a total of 1081 points.

Lim scored 550 with a series of 95, 92, 90, 90, 90 and 93 while his teammate Gai shot a 544 with a series of 95, 90, 85, 95, 91, 88 in their gold medal winning effort.
