Olympic and world champion Usain Bolt hurtling down the track is a sight that’s being eagerly awaited during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
If reports are to be believed, Bolt has confirmed that he would be running in the Capital. Towards this, the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (CWOC) is ensuring that the world’s fastest man keeps his word.
Strange it may sound, but Suresh Kalmadi, chairman of CWOC announced on Monday: “The Organising Committee is looking for a Indian sponsor for Bolt”. CWOC secretary general, Lalit Bhanot, clarified: “Any company in India would love to be associated with him. The Committee is making an effort so that Indian industry gets global mileage.”
Meanwhile, the Indian Olympic Association along with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry announced the first National Club Games in Uttaranchal in May next year.
