A day after HT highlighted the plight of shooters attending the camp for the World University Games (WUG), at Hansraj College, in New Delhi, the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) provided pellets to them.

After the article, 'Camp on, but no pellets for WUG shooters', appeared on Monday, the AIU provided pellets to campers in the morning.

"We gave a box of pellets each to the campers in the morning and by evening more boxes will be given. From now on, there will not be any shortage," said an official at the camp.

Earlier, the shooters were not getting pellets, and when they did, the quantity was insufficient for training.

The camp was started on July 7 and till July 31 each shooter had got a box containing 500 pellets.

During national camps, shooters get a box of pellets every alternate day.
