Indians fall at final hurdle

India's Anaka Alankamony and Veer Chotrani put up a fight but lost in their respective singles event finals at the Asian Squash Championship in Amman, Jordan.

Anaka went down to Hong Kong's Ho Ka Po in the girls final 9-11, 10-12, 10-12 while Chotrani lost to Malaysia's Muhammad Hafiz Abdul Harif 5-11, 12-14, 10-12 boys sub-junior final.

Chanu to lead
New Delhi: Defender Sushila Chanu will lead an 18-member Indian team in the FIH Junior Women's World Cup to be played at Monchengladbach, Germany from Jul 27 to Aug 4.

Sporting, S Delhi win
New Delhi: Sporting Club beat Citizen Club by 35 runs in DDCA Hot Weather Cup. In another match, South Delhi beat Tilak Nagar Colts by seven wickets.
