Bhawani Kalvi was in cracking form as he scored four goals to lead IPG to a half-goal victory over Elevation on Day Two of the M3M HH Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Polo Gold Cup 2013 here on Wednesday.

With Elevation too boasting of some big names like Dhruvpal Godara and Satinder Garcha, it was never going to be a one-sided contest and it stayed that way till the very end, with IPG winning by 8½ goals to 7.

In another Pool A match, Sahara Warriors got the better of Action Polo by a solitary-goal margin. Action Polo got off to a good start with three goals in the first chukkar, but the Warriors came back strongly to win 7-5.

Results: IPG 8-½ (Himmat Singh Bedla 1, Bhawani Kalvi 4, Lokendra Singh 3, half-a-goal on handicap) bt Elevation 7 (Satinder Garcha 1, Hissam Hyder 3, Dhruvpal Godara 3).

Sahara Warriors 7 (Chris Mackenzie 2, Samir Suhag 4, Adhiraj Singh 1) bt Action Polo 5 (Gaurav Sahgal 1, Abhimanyu Pathak 2, Manupal Godhara 3).
