CIIS students shine in partner varsities in Canada

Harpreet Lalia, a mechanical engineering student of the Continental Institute of International Studies (CIIS), Jalvehra, in this district has won the prestigiouis William K Caldwell scholarship of Canada's Georgian College.

Lalia now work at Kobay Enstel in Toronto, Canada. CIIS students Maninder Ubhi, Jaspreet Oberoi, Amarpreet Singh, and Manpreet Mann also have secured  more than 80% marks in the engineering courses abroad, and Kunal Chopra, has won two computer science scholarships at Thomson Rivers University, Canada, after earning a diploma over there.

He was peer tutor to South Asian students in Canada and winner of Thompson Rivers University Medal. He now works at SAP in Vancouver. The Candadian universities are the global working partners of the CIIS, which also has partner institutions in New Zealand and Britain, to allow its students to complete degree and diploma courses abroad and find a job anywhere in the world.

Students study for one year in India at the CIIS, and for the other two years in Canada, England, Scotland, and New Zealand.  The CIIS director, general BPS Grewal (retd); principal, brigadier JK Jha (retd); and vice-principal Harpreet Kaur congratulated the meritorious students.
