Cross country race spread message against female foeticide

Kanwaljit Singh, dean of academics at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, here stressed on the need of awareness against female foeticide.

Religious leaders and sarpanches should be involved to eradicate female foeticide, said Singh while flagging off the 10th annual cross country race in memory of former SGPC president Gurcharan Singh Tohra at Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Senior Secondary Public School here on Saturday.

On the occasion, he appreciated the efforts of students to make people aware about social evils like female foeticide, drugs, pollution etc.

Students ran with logos of female foeticide, drug addiction, save environment, etc, on their T-shirts.

Principal Prof RS Bajwa welcomed the chief guest and talked about the value of games in life.
Students from different age groups participated in the race.

The winners of junior and senior wings were awarded medals, certificates and track suits.
