Police investigation into the drug haul case on Saturday reveal that Olympic medalist Vijender Singh had fascination to consume heroin.

“The mobile tower locations and call details of Vijender and the main accused Anoop Singh Kahlon were enough proof confirming that Vijender was hooked to drugs and used to visit Kahlon’s Zirakpur flat quite often. Twice, first in December and second time in February, the boxer came to Chandigarh via air from Delhi to visit Zirakpur flat especially for the heroin and went back within hours,” a top source confirmed Hindustan Times.

Vijender mostly stays in Delhi with his wife.

Police claims that Vijender used to talk to Kahlon using his mobile number and was in continuous touch with him during his training camp from National Institute of Sports (NIS) Patiala.
