The state Cabinet approved the format of Chief Minister Nitish’s Kumar Vikas Yatra.
The Principal Secretary, Cabinet Co-ordination Committee, Girish Shankar clarified that no extraordinary facility was being provided for the Yatra or the site at which Janata Darbars would be held. “All existing facilities in districts are being used and food is being procured at the Secretariat canteen rate,” he said. With regard to policemen on duty, they would be served food from the police lines. Sources in the State Government said the entire budget, including erection of pandal, sound and light arrangements, would not cost more than Rs 1.60 lakh.
