HT bureau chief awarded by Chouhan for excellence in journalism

Arun Kumar, bureau chief, Hindustan Times, Patna was given the KC Kulish journalism award by Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at a function in Jaipur on Friday evening.

Kumar’s story on the appointment of a man under vigilance scanner as vice chancellor of Magadh University, which later brought the state government and the chancellor office face to face over the mode of appointment, found special mention in the citation for the merit award.

This annual award commemorates high ideals of Karpoor Chand Kulish, the founder of the Rajasthan Patrika group by recognizing outstanding efforts  of journalists working in daily newspapers globally towards promoting the rights and freedom of the people for better quality of life.
