Welcoming the six-phase Bihar Assembly polls schedule announced by the Election Commission today, RJD chief Lalu Prasad said it would ensure better turnout of voters.
"Luckily, the dates for the elections are spread over festivals in Bihar and most of the voters will be available. I think it will help increase voters' turnout in the state this time," Prasad told reporters.
Referring to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's demand for manning of all booths by central para-military force, the RJD leader said it reflected that Kumar had lost confidence.
"Kumar has conceded his defeat much before the elections given the mood of the voters in Bihar," he said.
