NDA will sweep the polls in Bihar and win all the 13 Lok Sabha seats where polls were held in the second phase on Thursday, JD(U) national spokesaman and party strategist Shivanand Tiwari claimed on Friday.
The 13 seats include the Hajipur seat, where Ramvilas Paswan had won with record margin and entered the Guiness Book of World Records, he told reporters.
Claiming that the results of the second phase of polls would be 'unprecendented', he said "The party had noticed the trends of the two phsases of poll and on the basis of the feedback received from the countryside, we can say with authority that the NDA would win all the 13."
The minorities, particulary Muslims have developed a 'soft corner' towards the NDA following a number of measures undertaken by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and have voted in favour of NDA candidates like Kirti Azad in Darbhnga and state BJP president Radha Mohan Singh in Motihari, which have over 25 per cent minority voters, he claimed.
This would be repeated in the next two phases, as the Muslims were aware that only Kumar could provide them their due as he had initaitated a number of measures to bring the culprits of Bhagalpur riots to the book.
