The BJP’s “lack of enthusiasm” that allegedly contributed to the JD(U) defeat in the Maharajganj Lok Sabha by-election has apparently failed to dent the alliance.
A day after the results were announced, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar came out in support of the ally, not only commending its cadres, but also underlining that the alliance was intact.
On Wednesday, JD(U) candidate PK Shahi had cited “inadequate enthusiasm” of BJP workers. On Thursday, Kumar, however, said, “The people in the alliance had worked hard. The alliance will not be affected (by the defeat).”
