No manifesto for polls: BSP

patna Updated: Oct 11, 2010 08:51 IST

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), which is doing it alone in all the 243 Assembly seats in Bihar, on Monday said it would not release any manifesto.

"Not a single promise made in manifestos is fulfilled in the event of parties coming to power. It is nothing but a bundle of lies," BSP General Secretary Gandhi Azad told reporters in Patna.

Azad said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati would begin the campaign from October 14.

"She has planned to spare one day for each phase of the poll for campaigning," Azad said, adding, his party did not rely on the charisma of Bollywood stars for wooing votes.

The first phase poll in Bihar, involving 47 constituencies, will be held on October 21.
