Indian Oil Corporation on Friday said there was no shortage of either domestic subsidized or domestic non-subsidized LPG refill cylinders as these were available upon booking by LPG customers in Bihar and Jharkhand.
As per the recent scheme announced by the Centre, customers of LPG including Indane, are eligible for three subsidized domestic cylinders till March 31, 2013.
However, there is no restriction on the number of domestic non-subsidized cylinders beyond the three subsidized LPG refills.
According to Senior Corporate Communications Manager of IOC (East Region) Aloke Kumar Singh, the LPG customers can avail six domestic subsidized LPG refills in a financial year from April 1, 2013.
The Indian Oil is also currently undertaking an ambitious Know Your Customer exercise, and Indane customers are requested to cooperate in completing this exercise early, which will ensure further streamlining of LPG distribution,h he said.
In addition to availability of domestic subsidized and domestic non-subsidized LPG cylinders, both non-domestic commercial exempt and nondomestic non-essential LPG cylinders, are also sufficiently available in the market to meet requirements during the ensuing festive season, the IOC official said.
The Indian Oil has also instructed the distributors to accept booking requests for new domestic LPG connections from prospective customers.
The customers will be provided with a system generated registration number at the time booking. On intimation by their respective distributors, customers can avail their new LPG connections after completing the required formalities, he said.
