Decks were cleared on Tuesday for the construction of a super-specialty hospital on the premises of Jayprabha trust hospital in the state capital.
The state government cleared the bid document in this regard at the cabinet meeting. The proposed hospital will be constructed under public private partnership (PPP) mode. The draft concept note for the ambitious healthcare project has been approved by the IDA.
The cabinet also approved a proposal for setting up Dashrath Manjhi labour and employment studies institute.
An announcement to this effect was made last month by chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. The proposed institute will provide skill development training to members of the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe and explore employment opportunities for them.
The government created 2,811 posts for five years under the administrative reforms commission and its reform support unit, besides extending the term of 15 other posts created earlier for another five years.
The government also created the post of security advisor to the chief minister. The post has been created for the first time in Bihar on the lines of some other states, including Jharkhand. Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda had appointed former Bihar DGP D N Gautam as his security advisor
