Six killed, three injured in road accident in Gaya

Six people were killed and a further three injured when a jeep in which they were travelling rammed into a truck from behind on the Gaya-Rajgir NH 82 near Manaini village in Bihar on Saturday.

Six people were killed and a further three injured when a jeep in which they were travelling rammed into a truck from behind on the Gaya-Rajgir NH 82 near Manaini village in Bihar on Saturday.

The incident took place when they were returning to Nawada after attending a ‘tilak’ ceremony (pre-wedding ritual) at Wazirganj Bazar in the same district, a police officer said.

While five persons died on the spot, another died at the Anugrah Narayan Medical College and Hospital (ANMCH), Gaya.

Three injured persons were admitted to ANMCH from where doctors referred one person to Patna Medical College and Hospital, he said.
