Accusing Prime Minister (PM) Manmohan Singh of being responsible for scams, veteran actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha today demanded his resignation and said that the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government would collapse by the end of this year.

"The PM should resign as he is responsible for one scam after the other. The UPA government will not last for more than a few months as it would fall by December this year," Sinha told reporters.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's Lok Sabha member from Patna Saheb in Bihar was visiting the state for the first time after undergoing a bypass surgery recently.

"Congress leaders are involved in several scams which have surfaced in the last few years," Sinha said.
