An American medical comedy-drama television series, Scrubs ran from October 2001 to March 2010. The series, which follows the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart teaching hospital, was created by Bill Lawrence. The title is a play on surgical scrubs and a term for a low-ranking person because at the beginning of the series, most of the main characters were medical interns. Music plays a large role in Scrubs, with a wide variety of rock, pop, and indie artists being featured. Almost every episode ends with a musical montage summing up the themes and plot lines of the episode.
