No matter how much we love those cappuccinos and Americanos, nothing can beat the joy of having the good old garam chai teamed with spicy pakoras. The truth is, we Indians just can’t do without tea! From the desi masala chai to tea with an alcoholic spin, here are a few concoctions that will jazz up you days. (Text: Namya Sinha)
Ingredients: 1 cup full cream milk, 1 cup water, 1 tsp black tea, 1 tsp grated fresh ginger, 2 green cardamoms, 2 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, sugar
(as per taste)
Procedure: In a boiling pan, add milk and water and bring to a boil. Now add black tea, ginger, green cardamoms, cloves and cinnamon stick. Boil for another 2 minutes or more, depending on how strong you want it. Strain and serve hot with chutney and pakodas.
