Inside is an 8x optical zoom and a lens fixed at F/2. The light field camera takes in a lot of light, which lets you in effect tap the display to "focus" on any part of an image, even after taking the picture. It's important to keep this in perspective — you can tap the LCD to bring an area into focus, but Lytro isn't going to help with motion blur caused by the shooter's shakes.
