Let’s talk tea: Good old masala chai to fancy aloe vera tea

No matter how much we love those ­cappuccinos and Americanos, ­nothing can beat the joy of having the good old garam chai teamed with spicy ­pakoras.  The truth is, we Indians just can’t do without tea! From the desi masala chai to tea with an alcoholic spin, here are a few ­concoctions that will jazz up you days. (Text: Namya Sinha)
Masala Chai Ingredients: 1 cup full cream milk, 1 cup water, 1 tsp black tea, 1 tsp grated fresh ginger, 2 green ­cardamoms, 2 cloves, 1 ­cinnamon stick, sugar (as per taste)Procedure: In a boiling pan, add milk and water and bring to a boil. Now add black tea, ginger, green ­cardamoms, cloves and ­cinnamon stick. Boil for another 2 minutes or more, depending on how strong you want it. Strain and serve hot with chutney and pakodas.
