Five Thai nationals and one Indian woman was rescued from an escort service in Baner which operated and presented itself as a spa after the Social Security Cell raided the place along with Chatuhshrungi police around 11 pm on Thursday. Under the pretext of running a spa, the arrested owner, Aniket Shivaji Jagdale (25) ran an escort service under the name Ayana Spa, said senior police inspector Dayanand Dhome, of the Chatuhshrungi police station.

The police were tipped off by an informant that such a service was operational at a flat in Baner. The flat was rented by Jagdale, said senior PI Dhome. The two other accomplices arrested by the police were identified as Imran Aihussain Nathani (41) and Kakusingh Chandrasingh Jaygadi (27). While Nathani, resident of Bandra, Mumbai, was as a partner, Jaygadi, a resident of Accham in Nepal, served the office boy.

The five Thai women had come to India on a tourist visa, according to a police statement. All five of them came to the country at different time while the involvement of the Indian woman is under investigation, the police said.

While four of the five Thai women have their passport, one woman claims to have given her passport to a friend for safekeeping, said senior PI Dhome. The Indian woman was found to be from Maharashtra, he added.

The spa has been operational for the past three to four months, the police said. Officials at the Chatuhshrungi police station are looking into the history of the three arrested men, the senior PI claimed.

A case under IPC Section 370 (A)(2), and Section 3, 4, and 5 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. The men have been sent to police custody till July 4.
