Applications for the Common Entrance Test for admissions to undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology in Maharashtra have been out and can be brought from June 4 till June 17.

Students aspiring to pursue engineering courses may not have much to worry given the fact that number of seats have grown substantially in the last few years. In 2016, more than 1,00,000 seats had no takers. This year, All India Council for Technical Education has given permission to four more colleges in the state.

The online registration for application for admission in the first year of engineering courses has opened up on the website of Directorate of Technical Education.

Candidates who wish to opt for Maharashtra plus All India Candidature along with NRI, OCI, PIO or CIWGC categories, are required to apply separately for each category.

Candidates should upload and confirm their application at designated facilitation centres by June 17, 5 pm. The list of facilitation centres has been uploaded on their website.

As per the report, the provisional merit list for candidates from Maharashtra as well as those from other categories will be available on the website on June 19 till 5pm.

For grievances redressal, or case of deficient documents, candidates should submit the concerned documents from June 20. The last date for submission of the deficient documents is June 21. The final merit list is to be out on June 22, the reports confirm.

The Common Entrance held every year, is for full-time professional undergraduate courses for the first year and direct admission of second year in B.E. and B.Tech., B.Pharm, B.Arch and B.HMCT courses.

In case of any changes, the DTE has asked candidates to refer to www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/fe2017.

The MHT-CET results for 2017 have been declared on the website.
