‘What to do in Pune this weekend’

A set of short films by young film makers will be screened at Gyaan Adab on Saturday

On Saturday, Gyaan Adab Centre will be presenting an event “Rolling In The New”. The screening will involve a set of short films by young filmmakers, who are bent on forging a new and engaging language for the screen.

The filmmakers will be present to speak about their work. Films that will be screened are One’s Tango, Trinity, Before it’s Too Late, The Decision and Hello Mumbai.

Written and directed by Helly Thakkar, One’s Tango is not a love story but a story of love. Helly says, “A marriage and the balance. The story talks about the finer fabrics of love after marriage unfolds in an abstract short film. The music and editing is by Ketan Pedgaonkar.

The other film is Hello Mumbai, inspired by the real events that happened on the night of 26th July 2005 when a Radio Jock stuck inside a Radio station did everything he could to hold together a sinking city. The film is directed and written by Mahesh Iyer

Before it’s too late lets talks about a young man, who is about to board a bus one night, when the conductor hands him a black blindfold. It is written and directed by Gaurav Sharma. The other film is The Decision by Ketan Pedgaonkar.
