Registration for NMAT by GMAC exam begins

The online registration process for the MBA entrance test NMAT by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has begun from July 4 and will continue till October 14. Entering its third year, registrations can also be made through mobile phones.
As per the rules, aspirants can appear three times for NMAT, within a year’s testing period. The exams can be rescheduled through the official website of the exam in 75 days of the testing period.
GMAC South Asia regional director Gaurav Srivastava said, “There has been a 17% growth in registration over the years showing an increase in demand for NMAT by GMAC exam amongst candidates. The exam this year will be held across four international locations to give candidates from these countries an opportunity to apply to Indian schools that are using the NMAT by GMAC exam results, from their homeground.”
Along with four international test centres, NMAT will also be conducted at 20 new test centres in India. These centres are Agra, Varanasi,Bhopal, Dehradun,Jabalpur,Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kota, Mysore, Nasik, Patiala, Ranchi, Raipur,Shillong, Surat, Trichirappalli , Vellore , Vijaywada and Vishakhapatnam. Already 55 centres were present across 35 cities in India.
NMAT by GMAC exam registered 17% growth in its test registration in 2016. Total registrations closed at 82,928 in 2016 compared to 70,950 in 2015.
NMAT by GMAC is a national-level MBA entrance exam for admission to many management colleges such as Alliance University, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), SRM University, VIT University, BML Munjal University, Ansal University and ICFAI Business School (IBS).
