1-kg heroin, 1 pistol found on Ferozepur border

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel found 1-kg heroin, worth `5 crore in the international market, and a pistol along with its two magazines and ammunition thrown on the Indian side of the border here on Monday.

Giving this information, RK Thapa, DIG, BSF, Ferozepur, said the troops, deployed at Muthianwala, heard a sound of something being thrown over the fence in the fields.

When they rushed towards the direction of the sound, they found 2 packets in the fields. When opened, one packet contained heroin and the other contained 1 pistol, 2 magazines and 13 rounds.

However, the miscreants managed to escape taking cover of wild growth in the area.
