14 Suvidha Centre officials absent during surprise check by DC

A total of 12 employees and two contractual employees involved in Aadhar Card project were found absent at the Suvidha Centre during a surprise checking by deputy commissioner Varun Roojam. Show cause notices were sent to all those absent from duty.

A total of 12 employees and two contractual employees involved in Aadhar Card project were found absent at the Suvidha Centre during a surprise checking by deputy commissioner Varun Roojam. Show cause notices were sent to all those absent from duty. The DC also interacted with the public to get feedback about the functioning of the Suvidha Centre and directed the officials to provide hassle-free services to the public under the Right to Service Act, during the visit.

Earlier, the DC also visited the fard kendra, district transport office (DTO), district agriculture office and the office of food and civil supplies.

At the DTO office, DC lashed at the ADTO Kulwant Rai over the delay in issuing driving licenses to applicants and directed that all pending cases should be cleared at earliest.

Aide-de-camp Gurpal Singh Chahal, superintendent of police (Headquarter) Rakesh Kumar also accompanied the DC.
