15-year-old gangraped at Shri Hargobindpur

A minor girl was allegedly abducted and gangraped by five to six youths at Shri Hargopindur village on Monday night.

The station house officer, Shri Hargobindpur police station, Tersem Singh said Safi Mohammad, a resident of Shakla village, lodged a complaint with the police that on the evening of December 2, his 15-year-old niece was allegedly abducted by some youths while he was coming from Shri Hargobindpur.

They dragged her into their Tata Sumo and took her to some unidentified place, where the accused repeatedly raped her, the complainant alleged.

Later, the accused abandoned her outside the village and fled.

After conducting the medical examination of the victim, the police have registered a case under Sections 376, 363, 366 and 120-B of the IPC against Meesa, a resident of Saneem village, Latif, his brother Surmo, residents of Dina Nagar, Gauri and Sawnia, residents of Parmanand, Bashir, a resident of Naushera Majha Singh and one unidentified person. All of them are at large.
