The Sadar police have booked three people in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl at Chutala village near here. The victim hails from Kalyanpur village in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh (MP).
The accused - identified as Varinder Singh, alias, Gopi from Chautala village; Sukhwinder Singh, alias, Sukha from Chak Bahba village; and Satinder Singh from Bihar - have been booked under sections 363 (punishment for kidnapping), 366A (procuration of minor girl), 376 (punishment for rape), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent), and 120B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and various sections of the Protection of Children Sexual Harassment Act.
In a complaint lodged at the Sadar police station, the victim stated that her family shifted from HP to Haryana in 2014, where her father stated working as a mason at a government ayurvedic hospital under contractor Shivcharan, under whom the three accused were also working.
"On January 4, 2014, when I was alone, the trio barged into my house and abducted me. They threatened me and took me to Chutala village, where Varinder kept me in confinement and raped me repeatedly for over one and a half years," she alleged.
"However, I found an opportunity and escaped from the confinement. I went to village sarpanch Hira Singh for help, who took me to the police station," she claimed.
According to police sources, the accused are yet to be arrested, but a police team led by sub-inspector Parmjit Kaur, in-charge woman cell, Goindwal Sahib, is on manhunt for them.
Meanwhile, police have summoned her father and have kept the victim at an undisclosed location.
