The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has started enrolling workers in Hamirpur district and enrolled 150 of them on the opening day at its office here on Sunday.
Anoop Prasher, the party secretary, said there was tremendous response to the membership drive of the party and people from all walks of life had come forward to join it.
During the meeting, it was decided that each volunteer would enroll two members and this step would help the party move ahead.
Prasher said the party would contest the next Lok Sabha elections in the state, but the final decision would be taken by the party's national high command. He claimed that people of Indian were looking for a change and that was why there was scope for the AAP. Avnish Sharma is behind the AAP moment in the district. He had contested the last assembly election from Hamirpur assembly segment against former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
