2 Bihar boys cook up kidnap story in Jalandhar, had run away from madrasa!

Two boys from Purnia district of Bihar, who were found roaming here by the police, cooked up a kidnap story and told the police they had been kidnapped.

But when cops quizzed them about the sequence of the events, the boys broke down and revealed the truth that they had themselves run to avoid classes in a madrasa at Sirhind.

The police were called by a shopkeeper who got suspicious after the two Muslim, attired in traditional dress and skull caps, asked him for directions. The boys told the police that they were taken into a car by unidentified persons but they escaped from kidnappers’ clutches.

In fact, Abdula Khan, 12, and his cousin Mohammad Shaheed Alam, 13, were admitted to the madrasa in Sirhind during the last week by their families. SHO, New Baradri police station, Balwinder Singh, said they were not kidnapped but they left the madrasa after they were scolded by their teacher.

Singh said that the police have informed the parents of the boys, who were to be arriving in the city soon.
