2-kg heroin found in Ferozepur sector

The Border Security Force claimed to have found 2-kg heroin worth Rs 10 crore in the international market and three Pakistani sim cards in the J R Hithar border outpost area of the sector on Thursday morning.

A K Sharma, DIG, said that on Wednesday mid-night, BSF troops observed some suspicious movement along the border security fence and simultaneously heard sound of a thud as if something has been thrown over the fence.
He said the troops immediately challenged the miscreants and fired in self-defence.

However, miscreants managed to flee taking the cover of darkness and standing wheat crop. During search of the area on Thursday morning, 2-kg heroin and 3 Pakistani sim cards were found on the spot.
