2 killed, 29 injured as bus rolls down gorge near Dharamsala

Two persons were killed and 29 injured - three of them critically - after the private bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down a 90-metre gorge at Kunalpathri near here on Sunday afternoon.

Two persons were killed and 29 injured - three of them critically - after the private bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down a 90-metre gorge at Kunalpathri near here on Sunday afternoon.


Kangra additional superintendent of police (ASP) Mohit Chawla said the injured were being treated at Dharamsala zonal hospital. "The three persons who are in a critical condition have been shifted to Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda, in Kangra," he said. Both the deceased, Indra Devi and Maga Devi, are from Sarah village, Kangra.

The bus was on its way to Kangra from Dharamsala, when at around 12:45pm, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve on a steep descent.
