As many as 21 students were admitted during the first counselling of the community college at SCD Government College for diploma in stock market and trading operations on Wednesday.

The counseling will continue till August 31 in the commerce department from 9 am to 2 pm on all working days.
Giving the details about the programme, college principal Dharm Singh Sandhu said the college will start classes for the programme from September 1 and there will be a morning batch.
“The diploma is sponsored by the University Grants Commission and the beauty of the programme is its training part that will be held at Ludhiana Stock Exchange. The stock market experts will be invited to deliberate students,” he added.
He said the UGC scheme for the community college also offers scholarships under its parameters.
