A 22-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by two persons of Roorki village of the district on Sunday.
The body of the deceased identified as Deepak Kumar was found riddled with four bullets. Police said that family of the victim told them that two persons of the said village had fought with the deceased over taking his vehicle to Gohana rally on November10. The family suspected that Monu and Ganeshi of the said village could have been involved in the murder.
Police said that they were investigating the case after registering a case under 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused. No one has been arrested so far. Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Shamsher Singh said that the motive behind the killing would be clear after the arrest of the accused.
