Claiming to have solved the murder case of 23-year-old property dealer Jai Veer, who was found dead on August 31 at the Brown Road near the civil hospital, the Ludhiana police have arrested a couple and recovered the deceased's motorcycle and SIM card.

The accused have been identified as Guramritpal Singh of Iqbal Gunj and his wife Aaisha Meenu. The deceased's mobile phone was broken and dumped by the accused. The police have claimed that the accused had murdered Jai Veer over monetary issue.

The accused have confessed that they had injected Jai Veer with an overdose of heroin and bludgeoned him with a heavy object. After killing him, the couple had taken the body on their scooter and thrown it at the Brown Road.

The accused, who wanted to kill him, found the appropriate time to carryout his plan of murder. He, along with his wife, had injected an overdose of heroin in the veins of Jai Veer. To make sure he was dead, they even bludgeoned him with a heavy object.

The accused had dumped the body at the Brown road. To give it a colour of drug overdose, they placed syringe in his pocket and had fled.
