3,000 appear for CBSE teacher eligibility test

As many as 3,000 candidates appeared for Central Board of Secondary Education Teacher Eligibility Test (CBSETET) at six examination centres -DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Guru Nanak International Public school, Model Town, BCM School, Dugri, BCM School, Basant Avenue, and BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, here on Sunday.

As many as 3,000 candidates appeared for Central Board of Secondary Education Teacher Eligibility Test (CBSETET) at six examination centres -DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Guru Nanak International Public school, Model Town, BCM School, Dugri, BCM School, Basant Avenue, and BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, here on Sunday.

Those who intended to be a teacher in primary schools appeared for paper 1, while those intending to be teachers for Class 6 to 8, appeared for the paper 2. However, those intending to be teachers for Classes 1 to 8 needed to appear in both papers of the CBSETET.

Talking to HT, city coordinator, CTET, and principal, BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Paramjit Kaur said, “The exam went smoothly. The paper 2 was conducted in the morning and paper 1 in the afternoon.” A candidate, Mukesh Jindal, said, “The paper 1 was a little tough.”
