3 arrested with stolen motorcycle, 10 mobiles

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) staff-2 police arrested three miscreants for snatchings and vehicle lifting. The police recovered a motorcycle and 10 mobile phones from their possession.

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) staff-2 police arrested three miscreants for snatchings and vehicle lifting. The police recovered a motorcycle and 10 mobile phones from their possession.


The police said accused were arrested from Gopal Nagar, Tibba Road following a tip off.

Sub-inspector (SI) Rajesh Kumar Sharma, incharge at CIA staff-2, said the accused have been identified as Karam Chand of Tajpur Road, Vicky Kumar of Tajpur Road and Lakhbir Singh of Rurka village of Goraya.

The police claimed that accused were drug addicts and used to execute snatchings and thefts for buying drugs. The motorcycle that was recovered from the accused was stolen from Rahon Road few days ago, police claimed.

A case has been registered under Section 379, 380 and 411 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against them at Basti Jodhewal police station.

Sharma said the police have been investigating to know the past criminal record of the accused.
