3 booked for poisoning man to death

The district police have booked three people for allegedly poisoning a man to death on Sunday.

Vinit Sharma, younger brother of victim Harmit Sharma (22), a resident of Jujhar Nagar here, in his complaint to police alleged claiming that they were going to meet somebody, three people took his brother along on Sunday afternoon. "But when the three brought Harmit home in the evening his condition was critical as he was given some poisonous substance. He was taken to the civil hospital, but he died," he alleged.

Station house officer, Cantt police station, Paramjit Singh said on the basis of the complaint by the victim's brother police have booked Yudhvir Singh and Satti Singh, both residents of Bathinda city, and Lakhvir Singh, a resident of Mahima Bhagwala village, under Section 302 of the IPC for murdering the man. The police were inquiring the matter.
